Formal theory of modular operads and related structures

Modular operads are mathematical devices used for describing local-to-global features of higher genus (algebraic) structures. I develop graphical machinery for working with (higher) modular operads and similar structures, and study the role of cycles in their complexity.

Complex networks

This project aims to build theoretical tools for translating between the formal theory of networks and significant societal challenges presented by data and technology. In particular, I am interested in forming collaborations to develop modular operadic techniques for improving the efficiency and transparency of AI applications.
